Diamond Repairing Advance Class

This Diamond Cutting/Polishing Advance course involves 3 days, 24 hours, 9am to 6pm training on Friday to Sunday and with maximum 2 students in a class.

This course is designed for student who had completed the Diamond cutting/polishing Beginner Class and would like to further explore : – (1) how to learn re-cutting and repairing any broken and damage diamonds,  (2) Re-cutting diamond according to specification

Class is conducted in combination of Hand-on bench working, picture and video Tutorials.

This course is specially designed for diamond repairing, covering the modification techniques of round and various special-shaped diamonds. This is a very tricky course and very challenging. But when you finish, you will deeply appreciate the fun and sense of accomplishment of modification.

The course content include :

- General ROUND stone modification skills,

– Modification techniques : for all different shapes like Oval, Pear, Princess… and more. (Note) I’m not sure have enough time to teach you all, but I will tell you all skills and methods of how to repair it as much as I can,

– Cutting and polishing according with specification : Trimming, shaping edges or cutting corners to meet the specific requirements of different jewelry inlays (this repair may seem simple, but it is the most complex and difficult task),

*** The process and method of modifying each diamond, and the tools used are also different. Only when it is used properly, it will give the repairer to its maximum effect.

– Finally : Weight consumption estimation for modifying the stone.
